\n1. Preparation
\nWash the BioSnacky<\/em> in cold water. Do not dry the inside of the germination box. The red vent caps must fit tightly, but not too tightly, over the outlet pipe. Wash the seeds thoroughly under running water.<\/p>\n
\nFor very small seeds, place a damp sheet of seed paper on a shelf. Spread the seeds as recommended on the seed packet. For larger seeds, seed paper is not needed. Make sure the seeds are not too close together. Seeds can be germinated on one shelf or on several shelves at the same time. We recommend growing the seeds at intervals so that fresh sprouts can be harvested every day. After seeding, stack the layers so that the red vent caps are not directly on top of each other, but slightly separated from each other.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Water according to the recommendations on the seed packet. Irrigate the whole container with the valve cover open under running lukewarm water, or irrigate each shelf separately. Continue pouring water into the upper container until the red vent caps are completely covered, at least 5 dl, and the water starts to flow. All floors are now irrigated automatically. Rinse seedlings that have not yet started to germinate well, but as soon as they do, make sure the bottom shelf is moist.<\/p>\n
\nPlace the container in a bright place, but not in direct sunlight.<\/p>\n
\nThe ideal temperature is 18-22 degrees. Higher or lower temperatures can increase or decrease germination time.<\/p>\n
\nDepending on the type of seed sown, room temperature, light and the specific needs of each seed, germination can take 3-8 days. To harvest – carefully pull the seedlings out to avoid damaging the roots or cut them from the seed paper.<\/p>\n
\nAfter harvesting all the seedlings, the planting box should be thoroughly washed. The planter can be washed in the dishwasher, but we recommend placing it at the top of the dishwasher as the bottom of the dishwasher releases more heat.<\/p>\n
\n– seeds are too closely spaced;
\n– the seeds are not well watered;
\n– the room temperature is too high or too low (the optimum temperature for germination is 18-22 degrees);
\n– seeds other than the specially developed BioSnacky seeds are used;
\n– unfavourable conditions, such as too much water around the seeds, too frequent or too little watering, inadequate temperature or light, can cause mould.<\/p>\n
